I will BLESS the Lord at all times. His Praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its BOAST in the Lord. The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, MAGNIFY the LORD with me, and let us EXALT His name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:1-4
Is fear knocking at the door of your heart wanting to dictate what you say and how you respond? If so, prayerfully read Psalm 34 out loud taking your eyes off of your circumstances, off of your enemy, and begin to BLESS, PRAISE, BOAST, MAGNIFY, AND EXALT King Jesus, your LORD and your Savior. As you do this, the Lord will deliver you from all your fears, saving you from all your troubles. (Ps. 34: 4, 7, 19)
Yes, it is easy to praise the Lord when everything is going well. But, David did not write this psalm in one of those times. Instead, David wrote Psalm 34 in a cave, hiding during one of the most difficult challenging times of his life. Because King Saul and his army was chasing him, David sought refuge in Goliath’s hometown, feigning madness before the king of Gath so he wouldn’t be killed, only to be driven away. Circumstantially, he went from a dark situation to even a darker situation. Yet, in the midst of one of the darkest times of his life, he worshiped God and invited those who were with him to do the same.
I know many of you are facing some real challenges. I encourage you to make the same quality decision that David made, “to bless the Lord at all times,” praising Him continually with your mouth. As you do this His presence and His power will surround you, delivering you from all your fears and from all your enemies. (Psalm 34:7)
Wes Gorospe, Songs of Scripture ministry, states in his Psalm 34 blog ” I wrote all these scripture songs (because) I want you to have scripture promises handy so that, when life gets hard, you will have certain promises to help bring you through… If you are serious about wanting the Lord’s presence and His blessings and His deliverance from whatever has you stuck, then start praising and worshipping. I will help you to do that…just play my songs, and sing along…”

Boast about Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior to your family, friends and to those you encounter. Exhort yourself and others to magnify and exalt Jesus’ name above every other thing that tries to get your attention. How would your life and others be transformed, if we truly gathered together to do this?
