You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, Who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ 2 Chronicles 20:17
“2 Chronicles 20 is a perfect template for prayer,” emphatically stated our pastor today. Yeah! I love 2 Chronicles 20. You see, back before I started the healing rooms, I had this dream in which I saw the word “Jehoshaphat” written on a blackboard in my dream. Curious about what the Lord was saying to me through that dream, I read, prayed, and meditated on 2 Chronicles 20, heeding God’s exhortations amidst the battle I was in.
Here are a few of God’s timeless instructions:
SEEK THE LORD
Right after Jehoshaphat received the distressing news that a massive army was gathered against him and against Israel, Jehoshaphat “feared and set himself to seek the Lord…” 2 Chron. 20:3 When you feel afraid, God desires that you seek Him, praying for His help and His guidance. KEEP YOUR EYES ON HIM
When you are facing an enemy that is coming against you, often you will feel powerless and not know exactly what you should do, just as Jehoshaphat and the Israelites felt. But, you must remember to take your eyes off the problem – off the enemy – and to fix your eyes upon Him. (2 Chron. 20:12)
IN CHRIST – POSITION YOURSELF, STAND WITHOUT WAVERING, AND SEE SALVATION
In Hebrew the word “salvation” in 2 Chronicles 20:17 is “Yeshua.” And guess what Jesus’ name in Hebrew is? It is “Yeshua.” Therefore, position yourself in your “salvation” – in Jesus Christ. Stand without wavering in your “salvation” (in your healing, in your deliverance…in the fulness of your salvation) – in Jesus Christ. See your “salvation”! See Jesus Christ, the One Who has already defeated your formidable foe, stripping him of all his authority!
PUT ON THE ROSE COLORED GLASSES
Your healing, your deliverance, your wholeness, the fulness of your salvation was bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Put on the rose colored glasses and see what Jesus Christ’s blood has already done for you! See your salvation! (Anyone familiar with my teachings have seen the rose colored glasses picture above.)
DO NOT FEAR OR BE DISMAYED
Refuse to be afraid. Refuse to put on the dark glasses, which come from satan’s kingdom of darkness. Refuse to have your heavenly perspective, your heavenly vision, darkened. Rather acknowledge that Your Savior is with you and in you. (2 Chron. 20:17) To help you overcome the spirit of fear, listen to our teaching series “Fearless Living – Psalm 27.”
PRAISE AND WORSHIP HIM
Before your victory manifests choose to praise and worship God Almighty, singing and praising Him for His goodness and His mercy. (2 Chron. 20: 6,7,21) The dream I mentioned earlier, encouraged me to worship Him purposefully and regularly until I saw the manifestation of the fulness of my victory, which at that time was about a year.
