hello good evening welcome to the camarillo healing rooms my name is marianne rookie and i'm one
of the sozo ministers here at the healing room and i welcome those who came and those online
and so i'm going to be teaching on our redemption in christ once you realize your redemption in christ and what
christ came to do for you and what he did in his death burial resurrection it will be it will just get a deeper
meaning in your life and and we can just
come to god and understand his fatherhood and his love for us and so i think it's amazing because i
think that when you think about redemption and what exactly that means it's like the history
or you can say it like his story of how he brought us back to himself
and so we have notes so if you can go to number one it's a redemption in christ
and a it says what does redemption mean and so in one it says redemption
is used in both the old and new testament in the old testament redemption involves
deliverance from bondage based on a payment of a price by a redeemer
one of the hebrew words used for redemption in the hebrew is gaul g-a-a-l
and it's a verb and it's a legal term for the deliverance of a person property
or right to which one had previously claimed through family relation or
possession so we can see this redemptive story in the book of ruth the message
and number two it says the message of the new testament is the announcement that jesus is the fulfillment of israel
masonic hope and that in him the long-awaited redemption has arrived
deliverance of humankind from god has been accomplished through the death burial
and resurrection of jesus christ so number three in order to get a more
in-depth picture we we would need to take a journey through the bible to see what it has to
say about redemption i like the way it says it in the message bible it says in romans 5 12 it says
you know the story of how adam landed us in a dilemma we were in first in sin then in death
and no one exempt from either sin and death so how did we get in this dilemma if we
if jesus came if jesus died on the cross or he he created man in his image in in
his likeness and he gave us dominion over the works
of the land you know you think about it in genesis when jesus when god elohim gave man dominion he actually gave them
the law okay we're gonna we're gonna see this in where
god gives man dominion over the land the air and the water what is that spell that
spells law so god gave them man dominion to rule and to reign
and he gives them instructions he says till the ground because there was no water yet the water came out from the
ground so there was no rain to water the ground so he's given him instruction he
said but keep guard keep watch keep guard why would god tell
him to keep guard because there was an enemy there was an enemy
an enemy of god that was kicked out and he wanted man's dominion so that he can
take that which was given to man so that he can be in man's stead
and so we see this in in order to answer that question we need
to go back to the beginning and see what happened to the fall of adam which i just identified for you
we also need to get some insight by unlocking some of the scriptures in
the book of romans if you haven't read the book of romans the book don't read the book of romans as it is like a
paragraph or a little verse read it from
romans 1 to romans 8 because it's the same idea and it gives you a plan it
gives you the plan of god and how he came to set the captives free and so
and so in romans 3 9 it says we have already charged that all men
both jew and greek gentile are all under sin
held down by by and subject to its power and control so we were held under
which is the word which is that word um in in one it says
we were all under huppo means in a in an inferior position or condition
and we we know that the enemy came to tempt adam and eve right and again and
he told them did god really say that if you eat god gave adam one command don't eat you know
don't eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil but you know what the tree of life was also in the
center of the garden garden you see both trees were in the center of god of the
garden so god always has given us a choice do you know that jesus was crucified between two thieves you know
one said yes one said no because jesus is the center of every decision that we
need to make in life you know whether we say yes or no make sure that jesus is
always the center of those decisions that you you need to go forward in and ask him always because he is the center
and so adam when the enemy came to eve and he tempted her to eat
and she ate the way he tempted her is he said has god really said you shall not eat has
god really did god really say that he knows that in the day that you eat you will be like god but the thing was
she was already like god because we were created in the image of god but but he was trying to say if you do
this then you will be like god does that sound familiar
if you do this if you say this if you follow this then you'll be like god no
we already in in been created just like him
and so and so you know in the in the young's translation
it says that when god asked eve what why did you do that and you know
what she said she said the enemy made me forget
the enemy made her forget who she was he made her forget he he brought her to
a level saying you're really not that you have to do in order to be that and so she fell for
it and here we are today and so and so who were we under it says we were
under sin hoopo men are under the in an inferior position and condition
and so and so so in number two it says how did we get in this position if we were
created in the image of god to have dominion something had to hap bring about this change let's look at another
scriptures to determine this in romans 7 14 it says we know that the law is
spiritual but i am a creature of the flesh carnal unspiritual having soul
been sold into slavery under the control of sin well when paul talked about this
in romans 7 he was talking about his old nature and so he was saying i know that the law
is spiritual but i am not lord i am a carnal and i'm having been sold into slavery
under the control of sin so if we look at the word sold it is the greek word
piparasco which literally means a transfer property
the blue bible defines this greek word as follows to sell for a price
one into slavery of the master to whom one is sold to have been sold under sin
entirely under the control to give himself up to holy to another's
will what happened to cause this how did we become slaves again romans 6
6 says knowing this that our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin
might be destroyed that henceforth we should no longer serve sin so the word
serve is the greek word
meaning to be a slave to yield to give somebody the power
of another so adam handed his authority over to satan he bowed his
knee he committed high treason he broke the law of god
and so when you break a law or you commit high treason there is a
penalty the penalty is death which god told him if you eat
you will surely die but he didn't eat and fall over and die but he died
spiritually he died separated from god in his spirit man because he was still
there he was still talking and so god clothes them with they
clothed himself and they hide and i believe this i really believe that they clothed themselves with fig leaves
because that is a representation of your self-righteousness they fell from self-righteousness they fell from god's
righteousness and became self-righteous they you know when you become self-righteous you're always trying to
maintain a an attitude of i can do this and i
and i can accomplish something for god in my own strength but we cannot we
cannot do anything without jesus we need him in our hearts and in our lives we
need him in everything we do in life because he again is the center of
everything and so and so on um
the scripture in second timothy on under number four it says that
ii timothy 2 26 it says and they may come to their senses and
escape from the trap of the devil having been held captive by him to do his will
wow we were held captive we were sold into slavery we were actually being
trafficked under an enemy under a harsh taskmaster that hates us
because we were created in the image of god to look just like our daddy father
and so when you get when you're when you're so captive
and it says like it says that they may come to their senses when you're so
captive your mind your mind is captive as well
you don't believe that you're any you're not good enough you never you never measure up because
we fell short of the glory of god we we have that we
have to maintain we have to but we always seem to fall short we always seem to take one step back and then we take
three steps back and we do the hokey pokey and we turn ourselves around you know we're always in that mode where
we're always trying to get from point a to point b and back to a and back you know is because
our mindset we were sold in the captivity when you when you know when
abraham lincoln freed the slaves you know and and with the proclamation of declaration of proclamation and they
were free people still were in that slavery mentality because they did not
know they were a free people they thought they were continually enslaved so they had enslaved mentality
and they stayed in that captivity even though they were free
and so and so in number five now that we have some insight on how we
became slaves we can clearly see that we needed jesus to bring us out
of captivity and bondage the kenneth wheeze translation unveils this truth in
ephesians 1 7 and 8 he purposed in himself with respect to an
administration of the completion of the epoids of time
to bring us back to the original state in christ
and so in number six one of the greek words for redemption there's a lot of greek words for redemption but i
personally like this one because it's it's alpolutrosis it's it means um
it most assuredly means that when jesus paid the ransom price in order to return
you to the condition you were before your captivity began
and so this means that jesus paid the price permanently know jesus is not paying
making payments you know on your retention you know the payment didn't come in the
mail and he said oh yeah you know joe he i need to make his payment for his
sins again and again and again i need to make that payment no the payment is done
jesus paid the price for our sin and so
okay so this means that jesus paid the price permanently to set us free and restore us to the full statures of sons
number seven jesus is our redeemer who came to seek and save that which is lost
you know what's interesting if you do a study on the book of of ruth
it tells us that boaz who was in a position and the next relative in line
to be the kingsman redeemer brought he it says that he bought the field
that which was lost to naomi and ruth and he redeemed them and and brought
them back to their rightful place a kingsman redeemer is a male relative
has the responsibility to help a relative in need of danger and so in verse and number eight it says
that jesus saw us the hidden treasure and it said he bought the field in matthew 13 44.
you know you are that hidden treasure you know we always think that
that jesus is the treasure and he's the hidden treasure and believe me he is but
jesus doesn't need anything we did you know we
we needed jesus we needed help and he goes and he buys the fields
and and you are that treasure it says the man hid the treasure in the field
and then he bought the whole field you know we are that treasure we are very we are very
um valuable to god god loves us with an everlasting love
you know you think about it you know god could have said i'm going to start all over there's a lot more
dirt you can make more dirt you know but he didn't he came to bring us back
to our rightful place to me that that speaks of love it speaks that god saw value in you
and said i i want them if my son or daughter was lost and somebody took them
and was trapping in them i would do everything to get them back
and then we we think that god is any less when the bible says in ephesians that god is the father from whom all
fatherhood derives its name from him and he
came and he it was like this big meeting in heaven
you know because god in the courts of god they had a meeting in heaven and they come in and they say
you know the plan before the foundation of the world you know jesus was the lamb
the slain before the foundation in the world before you and i were ever here
he had a plan to bring us back to himself because he knew that we would be
lost and that he would do everything lay down his life god you know god in the flesh
christ was it says that god was in christ reconciling the world to himself
not imputing your trespasses against us but has committed unto us that word that
message of reconciliation in which we'll get to because i know i wrote it down
but reconciliationism is an amazing word it's caught the lasso in the greek and
it means to exchange for equivalent and equivalent value it means like coins
if i had a bunch of coins and i was gonna change them for an equivalent
value of the other coins i would say these are worth so much like the woman
who lost her one coin and and and searched everywhere to find that
one coin you think about it she had nine what's the big deal about the 10 you know but you know what it's a completion
with god he is a complete god and he wants everything complete and
he exchanged jesus's life of equivalent value for your life because you are more
the most valuable possession of god in psalms 8 6 it says that that
you were made a little lower than elohim you know
he has crowned us with glory and honor i mean you think about it it says in
psalms 139 that of course i said this last time but jesus wrote a book on you right and all
the days of your life it is written in the book and then it says that his thoughts are ever
ever towards you they're always toward you his thoughts are always towards you and you think that if god's thoughts are
always towards us and jeremiah 29 11 says that god thinks
good thoughts towards us so every thought that god thinks about you is
always a good thought it's never an evil thought or a
failure thought no it's not when gideon was hiding out in historian judges it says when he was
hiding out because he was fearful of the midianites and the angel of the lord jesus
came to him and said you man mighty man of valor you mighty
warrior you're talking to me
you're talking to me are you kidding i'm fearful and hiding out
do you know what i'm saying jesus talks about abraham in in
hebrews 11 that he was a man of faith but if you go and read about it it says he lied about
his wife even though it was his sister it wasn't really his sister and he lied to save his own life you know and so god
calls him his righteousness in fact when his the king took his wife
it said that god came to the king and said if you do not let her go you're going to pay the consequences and
the king's like i didn't do anything wrong he did
so you see god's value is is always based in a covenant
relationship it's always in in covenant do you know there's a legal system that god
you know in genesis talks about it in genesis 18 it says
that before god was going to destroy sodom and gomorrah it says
that he was going to visit abraham and he says to the other two angels i
believe he said he said shall i hide this thing from abraham which i'm about to do because he will teach his children
the ways of god which is righteousness and justice you know righteousness and justice are
the foundation of god's throne what is the justice of god it's the judicial system of god
did you know that abraham stopped at 10 people
why because it takes 10 people to make a government in the in the hebrew in the hebrew um in
the bible in the he within the hebrew you know culture it takes 10 people to make a government so
god is all about government he's all about judicial system do you know the words
it's really amazing that the words justification condemnation
and also um kind of justification oh um
justification actually means is a legal term basically used as the word acquit so when it says
that you have been justified by faith when you have been acquitted it's a legal term everything god does is in a
covenant judicial legal system so therefore if adam committed high treason
there has to be the penalty there has to be that penalty which was death
and so and so let's go back as i know i got a little off but on number two it's
value which i already kind of went over but i'll go over it again if you don't understand the value i placed upon your
life you won't be able to understand the value of the people i placed in your life this is what jesus told me one time
he said if you don't understand the value i placed on your life you'll never understand or love and value the people
i placed in your life and so we have to understand god's love for us what does it say love
others as you love yourself how how would you love yourself by receiving the love that god has for you
god's love is unconditional it's not based on a performance it's not
weighing in the balance this side is lower this side is higher now
god's love is always conditional and ever for you it's ever it's always
pouring out there's always this waterfall of forgiveness and god's mercy and love and covenant hot seed covenant
love and let me tell you god does not live in a swirl chair
you know when you do something silly you didn't go and then you do something good i'm back
i'm gone i'm back you know god is ever towards you
you know he's always he runs towards you he rejoices over you
you know you have to get that you have to get that mindset you have to you have
to work at it sometimes you have to tell yourself who you are in christ
you know if you if i was going to build muscle you know and i did it one time
and i was like i feel really strong now would that would that work
but you have to work towards that building yourself up in your most
holy faith by praying in the spirit praying and and believing god for what
god says about you by telling yourself and acknowledging who you are on a continual basis
you know it's not a one-time act it's always a continual act of telling
yourself that you are loved that you are precious in god's sight
and so understanding how valuable valuable you are number two is important
value on a masterpiece is based on the price paid
isn't that true if you find a beautiful masterpiece people want to pay a high price for that masterpiece
you know in the value of it and jesus paid the greatest price
he prayed he gave his life for ours he bled on the cross
you know and not and you think about it everything that jesus did is symbolic
you know he wore the crown of thorns because the the ground was you know was
cursed and he took upon himself the curse you know he was pierced in his
side think about it jesus was piercing aside and said water and blood flowed out of his side
where was eve taken from taken from the side of adam out of his
rib we were truly came from jesus as the beautiful bride
the second adam where the first adam failed the
second adam got it right on the bull's eye you know and so in the book of ephesians number
three it says that paul begins to identify us as god's masterpiece and work of art when god created humanity he
saw us in the eyes of love we were created in the image of god
i love i'm going to read this out of the passion translation it's luke 12 6 to 7.
it says what is the value of your soul to god could your worth be defined
by an amount of money god doesn't abandon or forget even the small sparrow he made
how could he forget or abandon you what about the seemingly minor issues of
your life do they matter to god of course they do
so you never need to worry for you are more valuable to god than anything else in the world
in isaiah 49 59-15 it says can a mother forget her nursing
baby she may forget but i will not forget you so jesus
he makes us a promise that he will never forget us in fact in hebrews 13 5 it
says that i will never leave you nor forsake you let you down relax my hold on you are surely not
i'm always with you even until the end of the age so jesus's promises remain
true and are always secure they're always secure we need to we need
to be secure in them we need to be secure in the word of god more than our feelings our emotions and
and what when we feel like we failed you know and go hide out
instead of running to jesus and allowing him to minister love to us
and help us to understand how to go forward in him
and so
number four it says everything in romans 2 3 2 it says everything only
finds its revelants and value in the original intention of god realized by
faith this is the message um the mirror bible what we believe about god does not
define him god's fate defines us well jesus believes in us
if he didn't he wouldn't have created us he believes in us
and so when and um in number five it says when jesus
redeemed our life the bible specifically says that we were reconciled to god through the work of the cross and so i
already explained to you the word catalasa which means equal and equivalent exchange
and in second corinthians 5 18 it says this is the mirror bible again it says in jesus christ he ex
god exchanged equivalent value to redeem us to himself and so righteousness
there are two types of righteousness okay so this is a quote from rob rufus
on on his book your time to shine it's on page 144 if
you ever want to get that book it's a really awesome book it's about the gospel of jesus christ
and so the number one it says there are only two types of righteousness that the new testament refers to the gift of
god's righteousness and self-righteousness self-righteousness came about when adam
and eve was deceived with the tree of knowledge of good and evil by the cunning craftiness of the serpent
christ's righteousness is imputed righteousness was gives given freely to
us our standing our standing has nothing to do with our righteous performance our
lack of righteous performance christ's righteousness is credited to us
and god sees us as righteous his permanent opinion of us from the
time that we were are in christ and number b says we have been given the
same standing and stature status that jesus had before the father
and so like i said righteousness is the condition
acceptable to god it means such as you ought to be how are you ought to be
you ought to be what god says you ought to be righteous by justif by justifying you again it's a
legal term and justification means you're acquitted you're not guilty the verdict when god
is the judge it says and in hebrews that god is the father and the judge he's the judge of all flesh
and the payment was paid because jesus took the place of adam think about this
is cool okay when jesus died he died on a cross correct
he died on the cross what is a cross made out of a tree
right what was adam's original sin
he ate from a tree so jesus paid for the original sin
that adam committed in the garden where was jesus before he went to the cross in
the garden you know the enemy came to to eve and tempted her and said
you know he ca the lust of the flesh the pride of life and the um less of the i the pride of life and the
i forgot the third one but it says in hebrews it says that jesus was tempted at all points
as we in the ark of the covenant there was three items in the ark of the covenant
see jesus paid for the original sin that the enemy tempted what i
flesh pride the lust of the eye the pride of life and the lust of thee the lust of the
blessed the flesh lester the flesh the pride the pride of life and the lust of the eye
right and so he was tempted all points
the ark of the covenant he is the the pro-itiation
the toning sacrifice he is the ark you know the ark was made of wood
with pure gold that speaks of jesus his humanity and his deity
you see so it's a story redemption is a story it's like it's like when you're a child
and you love the love story of how your mom and dad met tell me again story mom how did you meet
dad and fell enough and come to the part where you had me
come to the part about me and how you loved me mommy and daddy that's the
story of redemption god has a beautiful story that he came to redeem you and bring you
out of bondage out of slavery he went and he became sin with our sin
jesus did not commit sin he knew no sin he did no sin but he
became sin that we would become the righteousness of god in christ jesus
jesus we did know righteousness we deserve no righteousness but it was that
equal exchange of value because jesus valued you
and said i want them back i want to alpo troses them i want to go and get them
and bring them back to the rightful place in the beginning the way i designed them to be in my image and in
my likeness to have relationship to walk in the garden with me to hear my voice
and to have unbroken fellowship with him in christ jesus
isn't that amazing isn't that a beautiful story it's not about
sinning all the time we base our relationship with god on our fault and
our sins and you're constantly in this state of mental torment
because the devil is a liar and he will keep you under who po men under that
position in that condition but you have to rise up because you've been raised up
together with christ you've been made to sit together in heavenly places in christ
he thought you were worth it he went through so much to buy you out
of slavery so to me that i'm not going to take that for
granted i'm going to appropriate that in my life by saying thank you jesus
if i fail and i fall short i'm still i'm still in right standing with god
because of the precious blood of jesus because my name
your name is written in the lamb's book of life
and he says you know when the the when they came back the disciples came back in matthew 10 and they said man jesus
even the demons are subject to us we are cool jesus
and he said do not rejoice in that rejoice that your name is written in the
lamb's book of life you know what your name is written in it's written in the blood of jesus
and it could not be erased because jesus put it in there
he bought you back you are his for eternity
so run to jesus don't run from him don't make it about a sin issue make it
about a righteousness be righteous consciousness be righteous all the time
in your consciousness by telling yourself i am who he says i am not by my
feelings not by my emotions not by fearful tactics as the enemy uses uses
on us if jesus paid the price that says that we are healed by his stripes
do we have symptoms in our body when we don't feel good does it take away the fact that we've
been healed no when we do something wrong
and we're still healed the righteousness of god do we still have symptoms in our body
yeah but what do we do we say the word i am healed by the stripes that jesus this
pain has to go in jesus name i will not allow this pain in jesus name so the
same thing applies when you feel unworthy i am the righteousness of god
in christ jesus jesus you paid such a high price for me to be in this stance
you love me so much that you died on my behalf so i am not going to take for
granted your love for me i am going to praise you and bless you that i am
righteous in your sight father you are my daddy god you loved me enough you saw
me valuable when everybody else didn't you saw me all scruffed up even like coins when
they're all scruffed up they still have value
they still have the value and so
on number on number b i'm sorry on number c
we can see this type of standing when paul made a comment to the church of galatian
to the church of galatian in in galatians 1 6. he was he says
he was astounded that they were deserting the one who called them
it's interesting to know that the word deserting is actually a preposition
it's denoting a fixed position so what paul was saying is how are you
changing your position or your right standing in the grace of god for a different gospel
why are you exchanging my righteousness for your self-righteousness
who he's like who has bewitched you who's cast a spell over you having begun
in the spirit do you now want to make yourself perfect in your flesh did you receive
the spirit by by your own efforts no
it was always by faith in romans 5 it says that well where is
boasting where is boasting it is excluded by what law
by the law of faith our boasting is excluded in god there's
no boasting in god i can't say on that day well you know
lord i did do this and and remember i did this and he's like where why aren't
you magnifying what i did for you why aren't you magnifying that i bought
you with a price bot that's another that's another greek word of redemption
you bought he bought us we're his you know what's really cool in the
hebrew in the hebrew culture is when when you like like naomi or when boaz freed ruth
and bought back her land you know when you were a slave because you were in debt and you couldn't pay on your land
and you were in debt so you sold your land and after seven years you can get it back that's the year jubilee but
prior to that if a if a slave owner buys you out of slavery
like jesus did and he says here you're free to go and this and the person says i don't
want to go i want to serve you willingly i want you to pierce my ear they pierce
the ear that says they belong to this master you know jesus came to set us free and
we willingly serve him because we're so grateful
that he brought us out of slavery we're so grateful that he
um gave us life and abundance we're so grateful that god is always in it with
us we're not alone in this life we're never alone he said he would never leave
us nor forsake us if you feel like you don't have him with you you need to
bring those thoughts down because the truth is he said it
he said he was he will never leave you he said he's always with you
so you need to acknowledge those truth in your life and so um
in number d i mean number d indeed it says righteousness means the condition acceptable before god
just as you ought to be and so um
and so in romans i went to page four it says in romans 1 28 it says and since
they did not see fit to acknowledge god god gave them over to a debased mind to
do to um i'm sorry gave them over to base mine to do what
would ought not be done the the word fit is the greek word
dog which means with it and it means approved are worthy
so we can say it like this they did not seem they did not see themselves approved of god
so so he gave them over to their debased mind because they didn't see fit they didn't see themselves worthy enough to
receive it can you imagine that missing out on such a great salvation because you didn't
think you were fit or worthy to receive it wow
to me that says you should just acknowledge lord i you know what i'm going to receive it
because you said that i am valuable to you i'm going to take it and
so when people are not allowed to accept themselves they resist the will of god
we need to accept our value and worth in god number two says number three says the gospel is about
redemption the reconciliation and the restoring restoration of the sons and daughters of
god it's not about us becoming accepted and approved in god's eyes we are
already accepted and approved because of the finished work and the sacrifice of
jesus in acts 17 28 it says for in him we live and move and have our being
as certain also the poets have said we are his offspring all this points to
one conclusion the free gift of righteousness resets
the original blueprint everything that was lost in adam has been regained in christ
and so therefore we just have to acknowledge it and
there's no like i said there's no boasting in god jeremiah 33 24 says thus my people
have despised themselves in relationship to god as his covenant people so they
are no longer a nation in their own sight numbers 13 33 says
they were they saw themselves as grasshoppers so they did not go and possess their land because they saw
