7 Secrets of Giant Slayers

hi my name is sue berdulis and i'm the director of the camarillo healing rooms

and i am really really happy that you get to join me tonight

in hearing this teaching entitled the seven secrets of giant slayers

this is session two of activating the power of god's word in tonight's session you're gonna get

you're gonna receive divine insight divine strength and divine courage

from the lord god himself to fight

the good fight of faith and to slay the giants that are crying out that you have no

hope and no chance of winning and god says

you will defeat those giants in his name

and you will walk in the inheritance that jesus christ has provided for you

through his shed blood let us pray

father i pray that you would release right now in this room and online

your spirit the spirit of the lord the spirit of wisdom and revelation lord

that people that all of us can see you jesus and that we can see

the giants through your eyes from your perspective

and therefore we can move forth in your strength and in your courage to

defeat the giants in the name of your son jesus christ

how many of you would love to see the giants of sickness and disease the

giants of covet 19 and every other ungodly giant fall

to see these giants fall that have been facing you and your

family you were created like jesus

for a purpose to establish the kingdom of god the kingdom of his love here on this earth

and guess what that involves going ahead and facing those giants and defeating them

in the name of jesus destroying the works of the devil the giants that the

enemy has created in first john 3 8 it says this

about jesus for this purpose the son of god was manifest

that he would destroy the works of the devil

that is part of your assignment as followers of jesus christ

like david who was a man after god's own heart you have been dis created to destroy these

ungodly giants the giants of this land who are revolting against god and against his

plan for our nation and other nations throughout the world

the giants of deception manipulation and domination that are

annihilating people's dignity freedom and livelihood the giants of physical mental emotional

psychological torment that are attempting to steal kill and destroy

people's lives and perhaps even yours the giants of addiction slavery

financial distress broken relationships and all other types of giants who

relentlessly are crying out day and night week after week month after month

that you have no chance of winning no chance of overcoming no chance of

entering into the promised land all the promises that belong to you through

christ jesus i'm going to share with you tonight

seven secrets of giant slayers these are the ones that god downloaded to me

and it was like oh i've never seen that oh i never saw it you know and so um and

some of them i've lived through so this is tonight's secret number one

don't be intimidated by the giants fear-filled words when facing these

giants you must not become intimidated by their

fear-filled words and fear provoking appearance going the way of the majority

which will encompass often your natural and your spiritual family first samuel

17 11 says this when saul and all israel heard the words of the philistine

they were dismayed and greatly afraid and when they saw the man goliath they

fled from him and were dreadfully afraid notice in these verses that i just read

who was running away from goliath it was king saul and all of israel after goliath had

presented himself 40 days morning and night in the valley of elah

and they had to hear his words and they saw his face they became so paralyzed with fear his

fear-filled words and appearance that they lost all hope

of winning and therefore they fled from him

why did they run from him rather than fighting him because their fear level had escalated

to such a point that they were now seeing themselves through the giants perspective through

his eyes through the perspective that he was imparting to them through his

non-stop fear-filled words and appearance what is the divine insight that god

wants us to learn from these words that i have just shared

with you he wants us to know that the more you listen to the giant's voice

and stare at his appearance or the apparent facts or the apparent symptoms

the more you'll be seduced by him and the spirit of fear who is operating in

and through him we are told that king saul and all israel were hearing goliath 40 days and

40 nights we are not told however how often they

were talking to one another about goliath or how often they were rolling this around in their own mind or on their own

heart and now with the internet and the social media how many times are you

listening to what the goliath of your life is trying to tell you and how many

times are you talking about the problem the giant with your friends and rolling

around these fear-filled weird words and appearance of the giant in your own mind

i'll never forget before i started the healing rooms how

i was raised in a household that caused much much fear in my heart

and so when i was sick i was filled with fear and then the lord spoke to me one day

and he said this stop watching the x-rated movies he goes you need to label

them like a triple x-rated movie that you'll never ever watch again and he knew that in the natural realm i would

not watch x-rated movies and so when he told me this in my heart it was like oh

wow i am destroying those tapes i am throwing them away

they're in the trash gone forever some of you can't do that but that's what god instructed me to do and it worked for me

and i had to replace those with god's words though and that was an important step of that

i understand the importance of sharing your story in this your problem with others to get prayer

i understand that but i also understand that if you keep focused on the problem

down here then you won't see the one who has the answer and the

solutions to your problem

i asked myself this is just i think today it was just like where was david

do you realize david wasn't hearing goliath for those 40 days and 40 nights

he was out tending the sheep and we often think of david you know as communicating with god as he tended the

sheep and worshiping god so when he came on the scene

in the midst of this fear-filled atmosphere he was able to bring the presence of god

into the situation he was able to bring strength and courage that god had imparted to him to

not only fight goliath but to defeat goliath in the name of the lord

you must realize that fear is one of satan's primary weapons it's a

strong spiritual force emanating from his kingdom of darkness designed to

deactivate your faith in god and to activate your faith in his fear-filled

words the ungodly giants both visible and invisible that you and your family and

your nation are now facing unceasingly they are using fear as their

primary weapon to steal kill and destroy your life and the lives of many others

through a variety of fear induced tactics and threats the forces

of darkness badger you and others incessantly to give up and give in to their agenda

to their plan for your life and the life of your nation look around what's currently happening

worldwide you have seen how fear has begun to govern an increasing number of

people's lives where they go what they do and how they go about doing it

and fear is governing the way nations are running their nation satan

operates through the methodology of fear because he wants you to agree with him

with his negative hopeless words he wants you to identify

with who he is as a hopeless loser

a victim and not a victor and this is not god's plan for your life

it is prophesied in scripture fear will be one of the main forces

dominating people's hearts in the end time and you've seen it begun

luke 21 26 says this man's hearts

feeling them from fear and the expectation of those things which are

coming on the earth as you begin to understand how satan utilizes fear to

establish his diabolic schemes in your life and the world around you you will

desire like never before to fight fear as if you are fighting satan himself

hosea 4 6 says this my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge one of

the main ways that people are just being destroyed by the giants created by satan

is their lack of knowledge of how satan utilizes the force of fear to have

people succumb to his words and his ways god is fully aware of this and one of

the most repeated exhortations he has in the old testament as well as the new

testament is do not fear why because fear will dismantle

your faith in god the almighty god you can see the series that

i did fearless living under our resource page teaching on our website this is a series i

developed because of my own battle with fear as well as overcoming the fear that

i was facing in my life secret number two don't agree with john

the giants belittling words and words that say you are not able don't agree with them

don't agree with those words that are coming from those who have already surrendered their hearts to the giant

and his fear-filled words and those who are unknowingly and knowingly being used

as satan's mouthpiece to poison your heart and destroy your life before david

fights goliath we find two examples of this in his brother aliab and in king

saul in first samuel 17 1728

david's oldest brother alieb it says he burned with anger at him that's david

and asked why have you come down here and with whom did you leave those few

little sheep in the wilderness i know how conceited you are and how

wicked your heart is you come down only to watch the battle

why did aylib speak like this to his youngest brother david

because eliab had jealousy and pride

in his heart towards david several years prior aylib had witnessed david being

anointed by samuel the prophet in front of all his brothers and he the eldest

brother was not chosen god had spoken to samuel instructing him not to choose

alieb or david's other brothers because he was not looking at the outward appearance

but rather at one's heart this mean that god had already seen alieb's heart therefore

when alieb accused david of the prideful evil heart

whose heart was he really speaking about was it david's heart

or was alia projecting unto david what was in his own heart too often

accusations like the ones that alib spewed onto david are clouded by the

deception and wickedness that is ruling over the person's heart who is speaking those

poisonous venomous words although there may be some truth mixed in with it

because that's what satan does he mixes a little bit of truth with his lies his

deceptions but don't let those venomous words poison your own heart

now let's take a look at king saul what he said to david

king saul was david's boss the one whom david served as an armor bearer at that time

and as a court musician first samuel 17 33 saul said to david

you are not able to go against this philistine to fight with him for you are

a youth and he is a man of war from his youth in other words david don't be

ridiculous there's no way that you can fight this philistine and possibly win

look at it you are just a boy you're too young you're too

inexperienced you're two two two you're adversary he's just too big for you

sound familiar saul's words seem reasonable i mean after all david

was even old enough to be a part of the israelite army like his three oldest

brothers were from a natural perspective saul's words seem quite reasonable

however not from god's perspective the perspective that god had given to

david what do we know about saul's life prior to this event in 1st samuel 15 and

16 it gives us a little bit of insight into saul's heart the spirit of the lord had already been

lifted off of saul's life because of his repeated sin and now saul was being

afflicted by a tormenting spirit which departed when david worshiped god

with his harp in saul's presence so david understood what was going on

not only in the hearts of the israelite army but in saul's heart in first samuel

17 32 david said to saul and he's saying to you

let no man's heart fail because of him because of the goliath

your servant will go and fight with this philistine david i believe saw not only into the

hearts of though the israelite army who were gentle who were greatly

discouraged and greatly afraid but david saw

saul's heart that saul no longer possessed the divine courage or strength to fight goliath

nor lead the israelite army in defeating the philistines

therefore saul was unable to impart divine courage to the israelite army

like david you cannot afford to let your heart be

affected by the disparaging words of others words filled with jealousy

bittersmiths bitterness resentment hatred misunderstanding strife discouragement grief you feel in the

blank words that are now having dominion over their hearts those the exact people who

are belittling you and telling you you have no chance of overcoming words that

are coming from people not only outside of god's kingdom

like goliath but inside of god's kingdom like aliab and king saul

i'll never forget never understood i never knew this word disparity

i was called into a leader position leadership position i was there for many

many years in that position and i understood that the person that

had chosen me for that position was speaking

negative words to my face but i understood that it was also happening behind my back

so finally when i stepped down from that position the person asked for forgiveness and they said something like

this will you forgive me for the disparaging words that i have spoken to all the other leaders or many

leaders over them i thought to myself disparaging i got to

remember that i don't even know what that word means okay so this is what it means to belittle or discredit someone or

something making untrue statements that harms the reputation of another

why do people do this often because it's the pride and jealousy in their own

heart and like i said knowing any or unknowingly they are being used as satan's mouthpiece to accuse and destroy

not only the person that they are speaking but to but many many others that are affected by those words divine

insight you must realize as a follower of christ who is trying to

follow god's leadership there always be people who accuse you condemn you

belittle you and tell you you cannot overcome if you have this understanding you won't

be surprised when it happens like i was at that point in time

remember it happened to jesus through so so many people and it will

happen to his disciples his followers if you want to fulfill your god-given

destiny in life you can't let these negative

hopeless words mess with your head lodge in your heart

fill your mouth or direct your actions for even one moment

david chose not to address the belittling words of his brothers he turned away from his brother alieb it

says and he focused on the bigger picture the cause of why goliath needed to be

defeated right after alieb spoke the belittling words david says this

is there not a cause when i saw these words that immediately

remind me of words that i memorized years ago from john 17

18 37. when pilate asked jesus this question

are you not a king jesus answered you say rightly that i am a king for this cause i was

born and for this cause i came into the world that i would bear witness

to the truth you have been born for a cause don't let

the belittling words and the discouraging words of others

take your focus off the cause of jesus christ the cause of his salvation

for many many people god's medicine for living daily within his kingdom is

to pay attention to his word letting his words fill your heart and your mouth and

guide your destiny proverbs 4 20-23 one of my favorite scriptures

my son my daughter pay attention to my words incline your ears to my saying do

not let them depart from your sight keep them in the midst of your heart for they are life to those who find them in hell

to all your flesh keep your heart with all diligence for out of it will spring

the issues of life you must keep god's word in your heart and keep the enemy's

words out of your heart activate number three secret three activate the

power of god's word believing god's faithfulness as you resist these

negative words coming from the ungodly giants you need begin to activate the life and power inherent in god's word by

putting the word of god which is the sword of the spirit into your heart and mouth for your salvation and for the

salvation of many other people we listen to this in activating the

power of god session one it comes from hebrews 4 12 for the word of god is

living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword ephesians 6 17 and take

the sword of the spirit which is the word of god i highly recommend session one so you

can understand of activating the power of god's word so you can understand the fullness of what it is needed to be able

to defeat the giants in that session we discussed how god dispelled the darkness that was covering

the earth through his spoken word he said and let there be light and there

was light any time the darkness of the giant's words are beginning to

empower or overtake your heart and mind you must speak the word of god over your

own heart and mind psalm 119 130 god says the entrance of his word brings

light the more you allow the light of god's word to dominate your thoughts in the

imaginations of your heart allowing god's word to go forth from the mouth your mouth the more you'll see the

giants that are ruling over your own soul be defeated and the giants that are out there in this world be defeated

because you have chosen to believe god's word and to allow his words to enter

your heart you were never created to take down these giants in your own strength in

your own power your own ability the moment you were born again you were given the privilege of living your life

in and through christ through his undefeatable power and strength through the same power that raised christ from

the dead through the same power that he created the entire universe

many of you are familiar with philippians 4 13 you could all probably say that aloud with me i can do all

things through christ who strengthens me so often we put the emphasis on the

first noun or pronoun i can do all things and we forget it's

through christ who strengthens me the passion translation awakens my heart and

this is what it says about philippians 4 13 i find that the strength of christ

explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty

you can put in there every giant god has invited you to live

life through the strength of christ explosive power so that you can conquer

every giant every sin and every bad habit that you face within and every

difficulty arising from the other sins and bad habits in the world around you

david under the old covenant experience god's explosive power the spirit of the

lord first samuel 17 37 david says this in response right after

he hears these negative words that david you're not going to be able to overcome the giant this is how david responds the

lord who delivered me from the lion and the bear he will deliver me from the

hand of the philistine now david's not boasting about his own ability power or

strength about who he was but rather he was boasting about god's strength and power

that delivered him from the lion and the bear through david's past experience he knew

what it was when the spirit of the lord would come upon him as he faced the lion the bear and

probably other giants when no other person saw what was happening and therefore in the public eye david was

able to speak courageously while all the other israelite army and

king saul shook in their book boots he was able to speak courageously against

the goliath that god wanted to see defeated

david confidently prophesied to not only saw but to goliath his utter

defeat because he knew that goliath was going to have to face his god the

undefeatable champion now you can meditate on first samuel 17

45 through 47 this entire oncoming week it's very very powerful

david says this to goliath you come to me

with a sword and a spear and with a javelin

but i come to you in the name of the lord of hosts the god of the armies of

israel whom you have defied this day the lord will deliver you

into my hand i will strike you and take your head from

you so that all the earth will know that there is a god in israel this

is the lord's battle and he will give you to us

the strength of goliath's flesh was no match for the strength of our god the

lord of hosts why did david mention god's name so often in these few several

verses i believe david did this because he really knew who god was and i really

believe that it was part of david's normal everyday conversation and that god was so part of

david's life in interaction that he couldn't help but mention the

strength of his life because of david's lifestyle he was able

to see god's presence and hear god's voice over and above

the voice of goliath and above his appearance

and when david spoke courageously god's name the inherent presence and power in

his name immediately was released do you guys remember jeff falcon's testimony from

last time it was kind of like a david in a goliath story had similar dynamics

and jeff folkens his wife was diagnosed basically

with terminal cancer and the doctor says you know get things in order your wife's going to die

and this is what he said it's very important what comes out of your mouth

when the giant faces you and this is what he said let me tell you what i know

my wife michelle and i are christians in other words right then and there you establish i have a covenant with god

that's what david did he says we serve the king of kings in the lord of lords jesus christ i will

not accept or come in agreement with anything that is said or contradicts the word of god

because jesus said that by his stripes my wife was healed it's not what you say

it's what jesus said is that boldness is this what david did in front of

goliath and what god wants us to do in front of the giants that we are facing to speak his name boldly declaring who

he is and operating the strength and the power of who he is yes

this is what david was doing in psalm 20 david sung these words

i would love wes to sing some trust in chariots and summon horses but i will

trust in the name of the lord

call upon the name of the lord trusting in his salvation and miss the difficulties and miss the giants that

you and your loved ones are facing as you confess god's name his word he

he will watch over his word to perform it just like he said

romans 10 13 says this whoever calls upon the name of the lord shall be

saved are you a whoever i am

matthew 10 23 32-33 says this

jesus said it therefore whoever confesses me that's his name his word

before man i will confess him before my father in heaven but whoever denies me before man

i will deny him before my father who is in heaven whoa

let's confess who he is let's confess his name let's confess his word so that he can confess

us before the father heaven and that our good high priest priests and our good

high king can establish his purposes and his plans in our life and through our

life too often christians disqualify themselves from the victory because they

say i don't have enough faith god through christ has qualified you to

receive your inheritance in christ which includes

his faith i'm not going to cover all that in tonight's teaching but

it says this in romans 1 17 the just shall live by faith are you just are you

justified just as if you've never sinned then you shall live by faith now this

romans 1 17 is quoting from habakkuk 2 4.

but paul left out a word before faith he left out a very important word

because it was understood in that time whose faith it was the just shall live by his faith now

faith that word both in the old testament and the new testament

can be translated as either faith or faithfulness so it can be read like this

romans 1 17 you the justified the just

shall live by his faithfulness that takes a huge weight off of your

shoulders instead of you trying to muster up some faith your faith you get to live by his faith

you have the privilege as a born and christian to live inside of christ in christ to live in you and to have

christ's faith flow through you and to you you to live by his faithfulness and

not by your own hallelujah that's a big game changer when the

apostle paul announced the name of jesus christ the man who was lame from his

mother's womb the giant infirmity was slain this is what peter says in acts 3 16

and his name jesus name through faith in his name has made this man strong healed

whole yes the faith gets this which comes

through him has given him perfect soundness

in the presence of all of you faith that comes through him this is how

you are to live faith to defeat giants comes through

jesus christ let's make this declaration just stand and declare this is right

above um d right before secret number four

through christ's explosive power i will

defeat every difficulty every giant that has been taunting me

this giant and you can name the giant will not keep me from my destiny from

experiencing the fullness of my salvation alleluia

go ahead and take a seat secret number four see jesus christ your victorious king

and worship him if you're going to defeat the ungodly giants in your life

and in the world around you you will need to be able to see the unseen the invisible realm the invisible superior

reality of king jesus and his kingdom your vic you'll need to see the face of

jesus christ your victorious savior and king who has already defeated every

giant and the biggest giants of all time the giants of sin

and death he did it through the work of the cross and you get to live your life

from his victory second corinthians 5 7 says this for we walk by faith and not by sight

walking by faith involves seeing

christ jesus and living from his victory rather than living from the natural

senses this involves taking your eyes off your flesh what natural abilities you have

and don't have and walk by the spirit fixing your eyes on jesus like hebrews

12 1-2 says let us run with endurance the race that is set before us looking onto jesus

the author and finisher as of your faith okay as you do this as you look unto

jesus you need to break your agreement with weak faith you need to break your agreement with

defeated faith and you need to receive the gift of jesus's victorious faith

that he's offering to each one of you right now i call this the great exchange

of the cross because at the cross you can come and you can lay down your defeated junk and then take up his

victory so lay down your defeated weak faith and take his victorious faith

by faith see king jesus and his kingdom take your rightful place seated in

christ at christ's right hand in the heavenly places far above every principality and power might and

dominion in every name that is named not only this age but the age to come far above every goliath every giant that

has defied the living god and his son jesus christ who is now ruling and reigning as your high priest and king

you can see ephesians 2 6 and ephesians 1 20-21 i believe david unlike king saul

and israel spoke and acted courageously in front of the giant goliath and all the philistine army the

best equipped military at that time and all the giants he faced through his life

because he was a man of one thing he kept the lord's face before his face

he practiced the presence of god psalm 16 8-9 i foresaw the lord always before

my face for he is at my right hand that i might not be shaken therefore my heart

rejoiced and my tongue was glad moreover my flesh will also rest in hope david

prophetically spoke this about king jesus but he practiced it himself

therefore instead of running from goliath like the entire israelite army did he ran to goliath and defeated him

because david kept the lord before his face he was continually worshiping god

as you see throughout all the psalms that he wrote and sung worship

is one of the most powerful weapons in defeating the enemy i love the testimony that wes shared tonight and i'd love for

him to be able to share that again worship was one of david's most profound

secrets for defeating the enemy of his soul and defeating the enemies that came against him throughout his life

hebrews 13 15 says this therefore by him let us continually offer

the sacrifice of praise to god that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to him and then psalm 149 now that passions

translation i didn't write down the verse but it's like about three-quarters way into it it says god's high and holy

praises feel their mouths listen to this for their shouted praises

are the weapons of war and then it goes on these warring weapons basically defeat the enemies

talking about praise before i started the healing rooms many of you have heard my story about how i

had a dream about i saw the word jehoshaphat written on a blackboard started worshiping god

and through the worship worshipping god and through his word over about a year's

time the goliath i was facing was completely defeated worship is very very

powerful secret number five where god's armor using the weapons he has given you when

israel encountered goliath they began to operate in the flesh it's like what forgetting god and their

spiritual weapons of warfare needed to fight the primary battle taking place

which was taking place in the spiritual realm this could have had disastrous effects

for the entire nations of israel because it was a winter old take old match

if israel was defeated they would have to become enslaved to

the nation of the philistines and if you take a look about what's happening like

in afghanistan now and some other war-torn nations

where the women are raped the man are killed and

terrible evil things are taking place that is what could have happened to the

israelite nation you already see what's happening in our nation we need the

davids giant slayers to stand up in every arena of life

if it wasn't for david boldly courageously standing

with the spirit of the lord upon him and facing a defeating goliath israelite israel at that time in history

would have had a whole different course than what david was able to bring that nation into which was

victory over every enemy ephesians 6 12 tells us about the

primary battle that each one of you are in is not the natural realm he says he

we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities power spiritual forces of darkness and

wickedness in the heavenly places therefore god exhorts us to put on the

whole armor of god ephesians 6 10 through 11. be strong in the lord and

the power of his might put on the whole armor of god that me you may be able to stand against the wiles or the schemes

of the devil i have a i have the handout here and it's online under resources powerful

teaching called put on the whole armor of god every time accusations arise

against you reminding you of your sin and the greatest of all sins that you might have the sin of unbelief and

reminding you of your un inevitable defeat against goliath you need to remember who

you are in christ and where the full armor of god that jesus christ purchased

for you with his blood at the cross jesus took off his robe of

righteousness and took on your sins stayed robed he went to the cross

that robe was nailed to the cross all of your sins so that you could take on like isaiah 61

10 says that you could wear his garments of salvation and his robe of righteousness

goliath had state of the art armor i mean when i read and re-read this it's

like man just part of his armor weighed as much as i did you know and it was

made of steel he was covered with a helmet of steel it says bronze and he

was covered all the way down to his toes and then he had an armor bearer out in

front of him you know with a shield and then he had the sword and the spear

and the javelin his weapons in his hand and here's david i just love this

opposite picture you know here's david he has invisible armor on but no one

sees it the spirit of the lord is covering him

head to toe it is deeper than any armor that any man

can wear and he has weaponry spiritual weapons

that will go ahead and defeat the enemy because they are empowered by the

living god who is against every giant that is defying his name and his

purposes and plans for the planet earth it says first samuel 16 13 this is how

david was outfitted then samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him and the spirit of the lord

came upon david from that day forward

take a look at who you are in christ this is in 1st john 2 20. you

you you have an anointing one from the holy one

that is covering you inside an outside it's an impenetrable

armor that he has given to you trust the armor and the weapons god has

given you they are sufficient to slay goliath first samuel 17 38-39 i can imagine

here's david and saul says hey you can have my armor that's in verses 38 and

39. it's all clothed david with his armor and so dave's going i can't walk in these i don't think i

could wear you know the armor that saul was giving the point of the story is saul's armor

worked for saul david needed to use the armor

and the weaponry his unique gifting and calling that god had given to him that

meant he was going into battle with his sling and five stones that he

was used to picking up from the stream or the river

he had confidence in his god so when he put that stone

into the sling now you have this giant head to toe you

know it's like where is the monk that's not covered

with steel and he goes ahead and he throws it

and you guys know it's a childhood story but this isn't just a childhood story this is the story for today in the end

times because god wants to raise you up as a giant slayer to defeat the giants

that are calling out night and day that you and your loved ones have no chance of winning and no chance of overcoming

and no chance of entering in to the fullness of your inheritance in christ jesus it's time you slept take on the

anointing of christ and walk in it and walk in the unique gifting and calling

that you were given and take that stone the rock of your salvation the rock of

his word into your sling and to sling it out goliath

and knowing trusting god that it's going to hit the mark

goliath hit on the forehead and just the tiny bit part that was uncovered

don't mess with my head the minute that david

took the sword of the spirit the word of god and put it in his mouth

and confess before many people the name of god and what god would do prophesying

god's word into the situation the minute he did it the sword of the

lord went to work and killed goliath

goliath's sword his fear-filled words

were no match for god's word his sword of the spirit

number six hold faster confession of hope never giving up and never giving in to the giant what if the giant doesn't

fall right away that's the big problem most of the people face hebrews 10 23

hold fast your confession of hope without wavering why for he

is faithful it's his faithfulness i'll never forget somebody that wrote me

an email and their fistula was leaking

so the doctors had put in them they were fighting cancer they said i thought i remembered you

telling me that david picked up five stones for his battle with goliath so i

figured i'd probably need to throw a few more stones and keep at it it stopped completely a few days later

and hasn't bothered me since psalm 35 37

and let them say continually let the lord be magnified who has pleasure in

the prosperity of his servant something powerful happens when you

continually magnify his name and his word by saying what he says and doing what he is doing

when you continually say that god takes pleasure in the prosperity

of his servant that's you

when you continually release the miracle working of power of god through your

mouth who remembers dr yemen the testimony that i told in session one of activating

the power of god's word where she took people into her faith-filled home that were at their end stage of their life and

with no natural help and that one lady that you know i shared the testimony who

had tuberculos tuberculosis and was slated to die and dr yemen says just say

deuteronomy 28 and declare galatians 3 13 she said she must

have done that 10 000 times a day and by the third day she was 100 percent healed

i wish i could have found it because i read a testimony of a medical doctor

and his child in the womb who was his third child

was shown to have half of a brain so he decided that he was going to go

ahead and put his medical career on hold for a while so that he could fight the

good fight of faith for his unborn child and he got an

abacus by the stripes of jesus she is healed by the stripes of jesus

she is healed so word of god worship word of god worship worship word of god

worship word of god child born normal no defects whole brain miracle happened

through the miracle working god and releasing the miracle through his mouth

dalia knox i wanted to show you guys this because this is one of my favorite testimonies and we don't have the

projector working tonight but in 2010 after 23 years of being paralyzed from

the waist down i was a physical therapist and worked in rehab so i know this type of story very well

she was hit by a drunk driver she was a passenger in the car the other two people were barely injured they got over

their stuff but she was paralyzed waist down people prayed for her and prayed for her

and she never wanted to really to be prayed for again but her husband took her to a meeting

and there she was sitting in the wheelchair and the speaker goes up to her and prays

for some reason faith arose within her and for some reason the spirit of the

lord caused feeling in her legs and for some reason she was able to walk

for the first time in 23 years

and this is what her mother says her mother says i never quit believing i had no doubt

that you would walk someday i never quit praying

fantastic never give up never give in this is your story

you were created for extraordinary faith like joshua and caleb who kept their mouths fixed on the word of god that god

had spoken to them about their promised land well everyone else was shaking in fair

and said it's impossible and got everyone to believe that's impossible to face the giants in the promised land

joshua and caleb said this in numbers 13 30. let us go up at once and take possession of it that's the promised

land for we are well able to overcome it

those two that spoke it joshua and caleb and the next generations were the only

ones entering into the promised land because they chose to come in agreement with god's word keeping it in their

heart and keeping it in their mouth caleb 80 years old

took down the giants many years later they kept the promise in their heart and

in their mouth secret number seven most important this comes from the mouth of jesus christ

himself the greatest giant slayer of all times he says abide in me

and i in you secret number seven abide in christ and

walk in the reality of christ the word of god abiding in you

you are well able to overcome every giant that is trying to prevent you and your loved ones and your nation from

entering into god's promised land the fullness of your inheritance in christ first john 4 4 says ish

you are of god little children and have overcome them we're talking about giants

difficulties problems there because he who is in you is greater than he who is

in the world do you know the he that is in you

do you know jesus christ you know that he is the one who has already defeated

the goliath and he is in you living in you

every giant that you will ever face has already been defeated through the work of the cross you just need to come in

agreement with it he's put it in the past tense and you need to put it into the past tense

let's stand and declare your agreement with god's word

from ii john 4 4 and revelations oh first john 4 4 and revelations 12 11. ready

i am god's child created in his likeness in image therefore the giants who are trying to

prevent me from entering into the fullness of my inheritance in

christ jesus have already been defeated by the blood of the lamb and the word of

my testimony i declare greater is jesus who is now living inside of me then he

who is in the world you can sit down so do your math correctly

who's on the greater side of the equation jesus who's on the lesser side

the giant the enemy chris tallman sings a song about our god our god is greater

our god is stronger god you are higher than any other our god is healer

awesome in power our god and if our god is for us who can be against us and if our god is with us who

can stand against us you were created to see the impossibilities of this land the

giants of sickness and disease and every other giant bow their knees to the name of our lord jesus christ you were not

created to buckle your knees under their weighty appearance and their weighty words

philippians 2 9-10 says this therefore god has highly exalted him and

given him a name that is above every name that that the name of jesus every

knee should bow and every tongue confess that jesus christ is lord

does the giant that you are facing have a name

don't bow your knee to this giant bow your knee solely to the lord jesus

christ your lord and savior how do you bow your knee to jesus

you do it like romans 10 8-10 says by believing your heart and confessing with

your mouth the lord jesus the word of god you were not only created to have victory over every giant standing in

god's promised land but you were created to be part of god's mighty victorious army that god is raising up in the end

times to usher in the second coming of his lord jesus christ

god is raising up giant slayers men and women of god who have his heart clothed

in his power and majesty and are focused on the cause the greater cause of jesus christ

to bring salvation to many others and to bring people back into fellowship

with god are you ready to take your place in christ

are you ready for god to be god in you and through you let's stand and we're

going to make a final declaration and it's based on the seven secrets of giant

slayers i refuse to be intimidated by the giants

fear-filled words and by those who speak his venomous words

in the midst of all contrary evidence i choose to activate the power of god's

word by filling my heart and my mouth with his name the name of jesus christ

who is the word of god i keep jesus christ my victorious king always before

my face worshiping his majestic name i gratefully wear the full armor of

christ that he has given to me using the weapons he has given to me and

operating in his strength and power rather than giving up and giving in to

the unceasing feared tactics of the enemy i choose to hold fast my

confession of hope believing in his faithfulness to fulfill his promises

given to me i accept god's holy invitation to abide in christ and walk in the reality of

christ the word of god abiding in me greater is jesus christ living in me

then he who is in the world i want you to listen this will be a song

that we're going to listen to um somebody sent it to me that's on our email list this morning joel and janie

taylor's little son jackson jackson's gonna die tonight we're not gonna see the

miracle and as this giant stood in front of me all of a sudden out of my gut this

song started coming out right in the face of the giant

as that giant was looking at us i knew he was going to regret the day he

ever pointed his sword to jackson just as goliath pointed his sword at

david the sword goliath pointed at david became the sword the little boy picked

up and took the giant's head off with and as we watched this miracle happen in

jackson's body it was like this giant of unbelief was falling and our community

just began to sing this song it was just one note in the symphony of prayer arising for his life

so i want to teach it to you this morning let's sing [Applause]

pray that every goliath that every person is facing that you

lord will come upon them and live mightily through them

and defeat by the power your almighty power the giants
