Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:3
Don’t come into agreement with the enemy’s words “If it be God’s will,” when you are asking God to heal you. Why? Because God’s perfect will has already been revealed through Jesus’ life and ministry. Jesus healed all people who came to Him of every sickness and disease! Not one person was left out! Jesus did not show any partiality or favoritism. (Matt. 4:23-24, Matt. 8:16-17, Acts10:34-35; Eph. 6:9)
God’s will to heal all has not changed for “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Heb. 13:8) What Jesus spoke to the leper over two thousand years ago, He is speaking to you right now, “I am willing be cleansed.” “I am willing be healed!”
While Jesus spoke these words, He demonstrated His Father’s perfect will by touching and healing the leper – for Jesus only said and did what His Father said and did. (Jn. 12:49; John 5:19) In that instant what transpired? The superior reality of heaven, the unseen realm of God’s Kingdom, took dominion over the works of the devil. And, the words Jesus had just taught his disciples to pray “… Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” became a living reality. (Mt. 6:9-13) What did the leper discover? That Jesus was more than willing to heal him.
Today, God desires for you to know that He is more than willing to heal you!
Today, God desires for you to know that He is more than willing to heal you! He is so willing that He allowed His Son Jesus Christ to bear 39 stripes for your healing! (1 Pet. 2:24) In doing so, Jesus fulfilled that “which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying: ‘He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'” (Matt. 8:17) Jesus did this so that you would not need to take or bear them.
Yes, it is God’s will for you to be healed, just as much as it is God’s will for you to be forgiven! Jesus’ work of the cross, God’s salvation plan for your life, included both. (Ps. 103:3-5; Mt.9:1-8; Is. 53:1-5) Right now, hear Jesus’ words being spoken to you, “I am willing. Be healed!” Receive these words, just as you would receive forgiveness – by faith in God’s grace. (Eph. 2:8)
