The eyes of all look expectantly to You… Psalm 145:15
Are your eyes looking expectantly towards God for your salvation – for your healing, deliverance, or need being met? Peter and John fixed their eyes upon a man who was lame from birth at the Beautiful Gate. They said to him, “Look at us.” This man immediately gave them “his attention,” because he expected to receive silver and gold, something that he was accustomed to receiving.But, Peter and John had something far greater than silver and gold to offer this man – something far greater than this lame man’s expectations.
For on the day of Pentecost, a few weeks prior, Peter and John along with 120 others had been anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. So, when Peter said, “In the name of Jesus rise up and walk,” Peter expected God’s supernatural power to come upon this lame man. What Peter expected came to pass for “immediately” the lame man “stood up and walked, leaping and praising God.” (Acts 3)
God said, “I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh… and it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Acts 2:17-21) The anointing of the Holy Spirit that operated in Jesus Christ has been given to you as a Believer, so that you can do the works and greater works of Jesus Christ and so that you can be saved. “Sozo” the Greek word for saved means not only to receive eternal salvation, but also to receive healing, deliverance, and wholeness. (see John 14:12-17)
Today, and every moment throughout every day of your life, expect the Holy Spirit to do something in you and through you that far exceeds all natural possibilities! Don’t doubt what God longs to do as you look expectantly to Him and to Him alone for your salvation and for the salvation of others!
